My Editing Services

Light stylistic editing or polishing, works within the existing prose. It smooths sentences, clarifies meaning, improves rhythm, and keeps the author’s
voice intact. I make small, precise adjustments—tightening dialogue, removing repetition and improving flow.  
Developmental editing evaluates the story itself: plot structure, pacing, character arcs, world‑building, tension, and logic. 
I work on large‑scale changes—moving scenes, rewriting chapters, adding or removing characters, and restructuring the story.

Beta Read & Development Edit

Marc commissioned my services for his first novel. We started out by discussing needs and a beta read was conducted with recommendations for improvements. Marc has a high command of English, but it is easy to construct sentences differently when not a native writer. The development edit helped to improve flow, pace and other structural requirements.

Jaime Heidel needed a stylistic edit of her powerful guide to working with autistic employees.

Marc's Second Project

This was the second project with Marc, building his series based on his protagonist, Rémy. Rich, complex text with historical themes. This again was a beta read, followed by a development edit, enhancing the text and ensuring pacing and character development remained consistent.
